                                           Is Your Duct System Efficient

Picture
Your duct system is a major part of your heating and  air conditioning system and often unseen and ignored .The heating  system can run great; but problems the ducts can cause, high electrical bills, hot or cold spots , breakdowns and even much more dust and dirt in the home. Many Phoenix air conditioning service technicians will never look at your ducts even when the heater is working improperly.

For your duct system  to work efficiently it needs to be insulated and sealed. Inspect the system and if necessary repair it. This will help your home be more comfortable and your air conditioning and heating bills to be lower. Here are a few things to keep in mind during the inspection; whether you do it yourself or have an heating contractor do it.

First look for physical damage, in phoenix most of the heating systems have flex duct. How many people have been in your attic, running wiring, cables ect.
You would be surprised at how many attics have crushed , broken and even disconnected ducts. I have even seen heating technicians lay on duct work while working on the heater. Have your heater running while inspecting the duct system; this way may feel the warm air blowing on you and help find separated duct work. phoenix heating
